Conferences: Fall 2018 - Oct 11-12
Every Spring and Fall, PA-PNA holds a conference for its members. Plan to attend the fall conference on October 11-12, 2018 held in Lewisburg at the Country Cupboard Inn. We'll be discussing statewide policy issues facing Practical Nursing and advocacy. Our Agenda will be posted in August.
In the Spring our conference focuses on education for faculty of the schools who hold membership in the association. After surveying members and faculty to determine the most prominent educational needs of the programs, a speaker is chosen to address these needs.
This year's conference presenter was former Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center director Kim Delbo, MSN, RN, CSN and covered a number of valuable topics highly relevant to practical nursing education today. Also, a highly requested "Best Practices" which incorporates presentations from individuals of various programs occurred. This has become an annual component of the conference and gives alternative learning sharing opportunities adaptable by all faculty.
